On the 4^th of February 2023, Ireland’s national autism charity, AsIAm, hosted their National Autism Conference in the Grand Hotel Malahide. The key message of the conference was “removing barriers for autistic people and their families”. We at CarePlus Pharmacy were delighted to be proud sponsors of the event.

The conference marked the return of the annual autism event held by AsIAm following the pandemic.

The conference covered a variety of topics such as education, health and wellness, socialising and adult life. A number of guest speakers from across the autism community took part, with expertise and experience in the field, among them Dr Peter Vermeulen, founder of Autism in Context; Amanda Mc Guinness, training officer with AsIAm; Dr. Wenn Lawson, an autistic lecturer, advocate and writer; and Chloe Hayden, award-winning speaker, actor, author and advocate.

The conference was live streamed to all that wished to attend worldwide. We at CarePlus are extremely proud to have sponsored this important and educational event, as it aligns with our ongoing goal to bring people together to live healthier and happier lives.
