Keane's CarePlus win big at the IPN Awards 2019
The 8th annual Irish Pharmacy Awards took place on Saturday, May 18th 2019. Hosted by Colm O’Regan, the awards ceremony took place in the Clayton hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
The Irish Pharmacy Awards recognise the achievements of individuals and teams working in the community pharmacy sector; their dedication and innovation which positions the profession at the forefront of healthcare, improving the lives of people across the country.
Keane’s CarePlus Pharmacy scored a double victory at the recent national Irish Pharmacy Awards, scooping two awards in demonstration of excellence within their profession.
Samantha Jones of Keane’s CarePlus Pharmacy Enfield won the Pure Pharmacy Recruitment Community Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award whilst Keane’s CarePlus Pharmacy in Mullingar received the Sudocrem Children Baby Health Pharmacy of the Year accolade.
To the public, community pharmacy is the most accessible face of the healthcare service. Pharmacy teams play a pivotal role as a community and health asset across Ireland. High-quality public health and clinical interventions drive delivery that is focused on prevention, health improvement and protection of local communities.
Samantha was recognised for her work in enhancing the vital role community pharmacy technicians play in Pharmacy, whilst the Pharmacy in Mullingar impressed the judges with their excellence within the children and baby market.

CarePlus Pharmacy Group were also recognised for excellence in services to the profession and scooped an award on the night too. The team picked up the AYA Vitamins Category Development Award for 2019.
The CarePlus Pharmacy Group impressed the judges with their innovative ‘Be Skincare Aware’ campaign, which highlights the importance of protecting your skin through educating communities on how to be UV aware and in how to use the Irish Cancer Society’s SunSmart Code in their day to day life.
